2009
Pale lemon yellow. Intense nose, with elegant autolysis, offering biscuit and brioche, sunbathed fruit, such as peach and nectarine, a touch of Mirabelle plums, cranberries, fresh mushrooms, lactic notes, on creamy background. Dry with moderate dosage (7,5g/l) and ripe, rounded up acidity with a sapid frame, extract and texture bursting with fine bubbles tissued into the creamy texture, with biscuity aromas, spices, crunchy cranberry on the long sapid finish. Keep it for the next 5- 6 years.
2008
Pale lemon green, silvery. Nose is chalky, with more citrus and fresh almonds, discreet leesy autolysis, a touch of iody shell, the palate is dry and fresh with a vivid crisp and tiny little bubbles giving a gracious feel, for a racy mouthfeel, high acidity and slightly austere, lean and sapid, salivating, chalky finish. Phenolics from the extract/ lees, bitter almonds, citrus, citrus peel, pomelo. Pinot Noir is overpowered by the purity and crystallin approach. 30 years potential.
2002
Reductive by its fine toast, but open with very few development, a touch of white mushroom and chalk, citrus, citrus peel, a racy nose without any wrinkle. Bready, deep, with a blossomy veil when it breathes and a light fern character. Superb dry but not austere attack with a satin- like mouthfeel, ballerina grace and high acidity with juicy crisp and lean core, but with depth, energy, leesy phenolics, fantastic length and digestibility. Aromas show vine peaches and Mirabelle, a touch of honey and biscuit with a floral aftertaste reminiscent of pot- pourri. 20 years plus. outstanding.
1999
Ripe nose with candied fruit, peach compote and Mirabelle plum, brioche and honey, with gourmand fruit development and toasted almonds, dry and rich with rounded up acidity and fleshy core with tiny creamy pearling and digest character with tropical pineapple, honey, biscuit, toast, a hint of vanilla. Drinks well now.
1996
Delicate nose with some fresh tropical notes of pineapple, dried apricot, spices such as cardamom and cinnamon, bready autolysis reminding bread dough, juvenile with classy evolution. Dry, with high and vivid acidity, linear with a razor- blade force and superb elegancy, digestibility, no austerity thanks to mastered dosage, sapid, salivating, and crispy finish with a spicy twist, like squeezed ginger and cardamom, exotic and classy. Can stand to the decade.
